Island of Elba: Mount Ginevro, the strategic reserve of iron

My job is, in part, to build tunnels 30-50 ft under so I’m used to being under the ground;  during my last holidays, I was very happy to visit an iron-mine with my beloved.

So we visited the iron mine of Mount Ginevro,  cultivated until 1982 when it was closed, but considered a strategic reserve of iron in Italy.

This experience was very impressive and instructive and you can understand all the difficulties of this kind of work, as safety and health.

If you want to visit this place, it is recommend to reserve here.
